With the Experiential Tour in Novara di Sicilia (in the province of Messina) you will discover the ancient Sicilian traditions, the history and flavors of some specific food and wine.
The tour will give you the chance to try unique and unrepeatable sensory experiences.

The tour includes the following activities:

1. Discovering the Maiorchino cheese:
The tour starts with the visit to a cheese factory to discover the secrets of the production of the typical Maiorchino cheese and fresh ricotta. After this unrepeatable visit, you will taste these local products.

2. The Maiorchino tournament:
Discovering the famous tournament that sees Maiorchino cheese as the main character. These special tournament, also known as "rolling cheese tournament", consists in rolling a form of aged cheese along a path that winds for more than two kilometers through the narrow streets of the village.
You will be taught to launch the cheese.

3. It is also planned the visit to the Ethno-Anthropological Museum of Novara di Sicilia to discover the history, traditions and tools used in the past.

4. The artisans of Novara di Sicilia.
You will be able to observe the work of the last ancient artisans of Novara di Sicilia.

5. Visit of the still working "Giorginaro" ancient water mill of 1690. The mill will be activated and the miller will explain you how it works. Finally you will see how flour is produced.

6. Tasting of typical desserts of Novara di Sicilia, including the "finger of apostle" biscuit.
