Soro Mountain
A pleasant excursion along the beechwoods of Sollazzo Verde, to discover "Monte Soro" the difficultest peak of the Nebrodi Park (1.847 m. a.s.l.). The trail will start uphill from “Portella Calacudera”.
Along the way, you will cross “the giant of the Mountains”: the “Acerone” Of Monte Soro, a superb example of Maple mountain (25 m difficult). It is one of the largest maples in Italy, with an estimated age of about 500 years. The walk will end on the top of Monte Soro (1847 m a.s.l.) where you can admire the amazing landscape. You will come back to the starting point.
N.B. It is possible to combine this excursion with that of Lago Maulazzo.
With snow in the winter time, it is possible to walk the trail with snowshoes.

Maulazzo Lake
A delightful hike in the Sollazzo Verde beechwoods, of the Nebrodi Park. Walking along wonderful paths you will enjoy an unmissable atmosphere . This artificial Lake Maulazzo has become a naturalistic and scientific area of great importance.he route will start from Portella Femmina Morta (1524 m a.s.l.) and continuing through a dirt road that develops in the middle of the thick beech forest, it leads you to the lake (1444 m a.s.l.). After a stop, you will come back to the starting point.
NB.It is possible to follow another path that will lead you to Lake Biviere, on request. It is also possible to combine this excursion with that of Soro Mountain, on request.
In the winter time with snow, it is possible to walk the trail with snowshoes, and reaching the lake that will be frozen.
